Platform basics

Understanding Broadsight

What is Broadsight?

Broadsight is an AI-assisted communications management platform connecting issues, media relations, stakeholder engagement, content and reporting in one shared workspace.

Who is Broadsight designed for?

Communications, media relations, public affairs and issues-management teams—particularly where several people, departments, experts and approvers contribute to the same work.

Is Broadsight a media-monitoring platform?

No. Monitoring shows what was published. Broadsight manages the operational work behind the outcome and is often used alongside an existing monitoring platform.

Is Broadsight a project-management system or CRM?

Broadsight includes coordination, Contacts and Calendar capabilities, but it is designed around communications work rather than replacing every enterprise CRM or project-management platform.

AI and automation

AI, automation and human review

How does Broadsight AI differ from a general chatbot?

General AI begins with the prompt and whatever context a user supplies. Broadsight AI can work from records already stored in the organization’s workspace and move users back to the supporting context.

How does email-to-draft automation work?

Forwarded emails can become structured draft Media Interactions, Services or Engagements for the team to review. The automation can extract details, preserve attachments and prepare a background summary or suggested messaging.

Does Broadsight AI publish or send content automatically?

No. Broadsight AI provides informed starting points. Users confirm the facts, apply professional judgment, complete approvals and decide what is used or shared.

Do we need to enter everything manually?

No. Email-to-draft automation prepares records from incoming messages, while users can also create or update records directly when work begins elsewhere.

Trust and control

Data, security and access

Is our information used to train public AI models?

Customer content is not used to train generally available or third-party AI models without the customer’s express written consent.

Who owns the information stored in Broadsight?

The customer retains ownership of its content. Broadsight uses it only as needed to provide, maintain and support the service, subject to the applicable agreement.

Where is Broadsight data hosted?

Broadsight’s core production services and customer data are hosted in Canadian AWS regions.

Can we control what different users can see?

Yes. Roles, permission levels and Types of Work can limit sensitive records or categories to the appropriate users, managers or administrators.

Implementation

Configuration and getting started

Can Broadsight be configured for our organization?

Yes. Broadsight can reflect organizational units, departments, campaigns, Types of Work, permissions and terminology.

Can Broadsight replace our spreadsheets?

For many communications teams, yes. Some organizations continue using specialized monitoring, CRM or project-management systems alongside Broadsight.

Can you migrate our existing records?

Migration support is available with annual Team and Enterprise subscriptions. The approach depends on the condition, consistency and volume of the existing data.
